Brand Boxes

A free letterbox sized memory box for people living with dementia

Brands at home

In collaboration with DS Smith, we have developed a special Brand Box which is designed to help carers and those living with dementia from the comfort of their own home.

The free letterbox-sized multi-sensory resource has been carefully designed to encourage memories through smell, touch, and taste as well as sight. Users will be able to reminisce over heritage brands that have been brought to life including Murray Mints, Kit Kat and Pears Soap. The box includes an activity guide with descriptions and fun facts about the objects in the pack, and activity ideas to help reminiscence including Match the Brand Mascot and War-Time Cookery.

There will be an initial pilot of 1,000 boxes available.

This project is part of the Living Brands programme at the Museum of Brands. Living Brands is delivered by our Wellbeing Department offering creative resources, events and training opportunities for a wide range of audiences on the topics of memory and brand heritage.
