Living Brands
A multi-sensory outreach programme for people living with dementia and their carers designed to encourage reminiscing with our museum collection.
Our Services in 2024
From 2021-2024, we have worked with many people living with dementia and their carers. We would like to thank all those who have used our resources and we are excited to continue our dementia programme with nationwide reach in future.
Due to project capacity, we are no longer taking new requests for Brand Boxes, Memory Boxes or Reminiscence Training. If you are interested in a notification of when similar at-home and in person resources become available, please Contact Us to join the waitlist.
The following resources are still available and will continue to be updated regularly:

About Living Brands
Living Brands is a specialised programme offering outreach sessions in care homes, day centres, community hubs, memory cafes, and more. Using our carefully curated at-home and in person resources full of replica packaging and products from the 20th century, we can recreate memories while encouraging creative discussions and art activities using our multi-sensory approach. This has been proven to benefit mental and social wellbeing.
Living Brands is delivered by our Wellbeing Department and offers creative resources, engaging events and training opportunities for a wide range of audiences, around the topics of memory and brand heritage. Please see our Brands at Home page for free dementia resources or Contact Us with queries about reminiscence, bookings or to join our waitlist.
Take Part: National Institute for Health and Care Research
Living Brands aims to reduce feelings of isolation and encourage access to resources for improved wellbeing in under-served communities. We are pleased to share some current surveys on these concerns with our audience, made by NIHR (National Institute of Health and Care Research) and Imperial College. If you are able to take part, please follow these links:

Interact: Social Isolation and Loneliness
Both surveys are anonymous and will take approximately 5 - 10 minutes to complete.

Living Brands
Join our Living Brands creative reminiscing sessions, where our experienced staff and volunteers bring the Museum displays to life with the help of products, sounds, and scents from the past. Our outreach team leads reminiscing sessions for care homes and community groups in West London.
For those interested in volunteering with the Museum, including assisting the work of Living Brands with our wellbeing department, more information can be found here.

Carers & Families
At the Museum of Brands, carers always go free - whether they’re working and supporting somebody they care for, or simply visiting alone and for their own enjoyment. If you are a carer - whether professional or unpaid - you can sign up for your free annual pass online here. You will be able to collect your pass on your first visit to the museum, and it will be valid for a year from the date of that visit. This offer extends to young carers too. If visiting the Museum of Brands would be beneficial and enjoyable for a group that you care for, you can contact us at info@museumofbrands.com or on 020 7243 9611 for more details and to book your visit.
